Harvested From: Bulgaria, Poland
History/Folklore: This herb has long been known to be "natures' tranquilizer". During WWI and WWII, this herb was commonly used to treat the stress and anxiety in Europe as bombs were being dropped. It has a wide history of being mentioned in Hindu traditions, and ws even planted by the front steps of a newly wedded home by the husband. For as long as the plant thrived and lived, so did the husband, allowing the wife to have a calm mind knowing that her husband was safe and alive on trips.
In Medievil Sweden, it was common to place a spring of this herb in the Groom's outfit to ward of any "envy" that the Fey/Elves would have when spying on the wedding.
